“I see lots of people wearing your Tattini breeches, can you confirm sizing? Are they true to size or do they come up small?”
Jennifer from Cheshire contacted us with this question before she purchased online at Selwood Equine.
This is a question we are often asked by customers and one which really is worth asking when you buy online. We have a number of different styles of breeches available on our website. They all size up differently. Our Tattini breeches are Italian designed and are shaped for a stylish close fit. They are all machine washable and easy to care for.
As a guide, we convert sizes (Ladies) as shown below:
UK – Tattini
6 – 38
8 – 40
10 – 42
12 – 44
14 – 46
16 – 48
Starting with our best sellers and working through, we list below sizing for our Tattini breeches and how they are designed to fit.
These are what we class as ‘true to size’. The Ginestra have a higher lycra content and this makes the material more stretchy than other styles. Customers like the comfortable waist fit and lycra leg inserts. Great for curvier figures and those wanting a comfortable yet flattering fit. Sizing in these is reflective of the advertised conversion.
These are also what we class as ‘true to size’. The Kenzia have a good elastane content which allows for reasonable stretch. The suede knee patches are both soft and flexible. Customers like the comfortable waist fit and lycra leg inserts. Sizing in these is reflective of the advertised conversion.
These have gel grip knee patches and are fitted to the leg shape. Some of our customer find these come up one one size smaller than advertised due to the positioning and make up of the gel grips. They create a tighter fit in this inner leg/knee area. The Kenzia Platinum provide a comfortable waist fit, not being too low and have lycra inserts on the lower leg for a comfortable fit under boots.
These sequin detail breeches are advertised as skinny fit on our website – customers find that these come up a size smaller than advertised. With a higher cotton content the Altea are a more rigid fabric than others. They do still allow for stretch and movement as they contain spandex. Slightly lower on the waist but still with lycra leg inserts to fit smoothly under boots.
These are advertised as skinny fit on our website. With nylon content in their fabric make up the Dafne are a more rigid fabric than other styles. They do still allow for stretch as they contain spandex. Customers find that these generally come up a size smaller than advertised, but for the more curvier shape you may want to size up x2.
With all these styles to choose from you are spoilt for choice! We are happy to help you with your selection should you need us to.
